In the embedded sub-forum, Zhu Xiaoxiao, a software technical expert of Saifang Technology, gave a speech entitled “Promoting RISC-V software and hardware ecology and the adaptation of openEuler to the VisionFive development board”. He first reviewed the development history of RISC-V and Saifang Technology’s software ecology and then introduced the company’s two core products in detail-the RISC-V-based artificial intelligence visual processing platform Fang·Jinghong 7100 and the first generation of cost-effective RISC-V AI single-board computer Fang·Starlight V1. Among them, Fang·Jinghong 7100 currently has a complete software protocol and SDK development kit, as well as a complete software basic framework for applications in different industries, and can provide RISC-V developers with a full-featured software and hardware supporting development environment. At the same time, the transplantation of Euler to the Fang·Starlight development board is also steadily progressing step by step. Finally, he introduced the company’s next software development plan and the AI vision processing platform with better performance that will be launched in the future – Fang·Jinghong 7110.

The focus of this conference is on ecology and technology, and the kernel, as one of the themes of the six technical forums of this summit, shows its important position in the operating system: it is not only the core of the operating system, but also supports IT (Information Technology) An important guarantee for the stable operation of digital infrastructure such as , CT (Communication Technology), and OT (Operational Technology). The combination of RISC-V+openEuler can realize the connection from chip architecture to basic software, and then give birth to new solutions for various industry application fields.

TanLeyFoon, a software technical expert of Saifang Technology, introduced the difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous, as well as the characteristics, operating mechanism and Advantage. The heterogeneous multi-core architecture can improve CPU performance and efficiency while reducing power consumption and reduce the cost of the entire chip. This architecture has been widely used in mobile phones, tablet computers and other applications that require real-time multi-tasking and have high requirements for processing performance. Scenes. In addition, she also mentioned that RISC-V’s support for multi-core heterogeneous architecture is not yet mature enough. There are three main challenges: the existence of ISA compatibility issues, the lack of standard power management interface specifications, and the lack of RISC-VLinux kernel support.
