To jointly build a new generation of industrial software cloud, Huawei Cloud Industrial DME officially launched the public beta

Recently, the public beta invitation conference of Data Model Engine (DME), the driving engine of Huawei Cloud’s industrial data model, was held in Shenzhen. At this conference, HUAWEI CLOUD officially announced that the industrial data model-driven engine DME has started public testing. During the public beta period, software partners and enterprise customers can open data model-driven engine public beta tenants on HUAWEI CLOUD for free, and create their own multiple data management applications based on the design concepts of object-oriented modeling, metadata-driven multi-tenancy, and design as development. HUAWEI CLOUD invites industry partners and enterprise users to participate in building a new generation of industrial software cloud and work together for the rise of domestic industrial software.

In the traditional industrial field, the amount of data is huge, mostly stored locally, and the cost of development and management is high. Data governance, integration and connection are already technical difficulties, coupled with high threshold of human and financial investment, it has brought huge challenges to the construction of a new generation of industrial software.

At the meeting, Qiu Shuiping mentioned in his keynote speech that Huawei explored innovative ideas in the digital transformation: “In the early stage of system establishment, the model is first established, and when the system is used, instantiated data is injected to form object-oriented data aggregation. Thoroughly solve the problem of data integration and get through, from “chaotic and then governance” to “no governance and smoothness.”

According to reports, after five years of exploration and practice, Huawei has identified 234 business objects including products, components, boards, and devices, more than 500 business entities, more than 18,000 attributes, and 24 typical structures, which are finally abstracted into 2 1 metamodel and 6 relationships. Business objects, data structures, data relationships, and data attributes are all reversely carried in Huawei’s IT system. Through modeling first and then implementing examples, the flexible and scalable IT system construction capability is realized.

It is reported that Huawei has built more than 10 SaaS application systems based on DME. The efficiency of the entire development process has been improved by 9 times, and it has been running stably for two years. Qiu Shuiping further mentioned that based on HUAWEI CLOUD, the opening of DME is precisely to support the engineering data management of the new generation of industrial software and to strengthen the root of industrial data. At the same time, Huawei will unite with the industry to redefine the architecture and standard system of the new generation of industrial software to achieve interconnection and interoperability, so that more enterprises can quickly build software in different industrial fields based on Huawei’s root technology, avoid detours, and avoid repeated investment. Professional software that accelerates the evolution of new paradigms in industrial data management.

At the meeting, many Huawei industrial software partners and customers, including Wuhan Tianyu Software, Pairui Technology, Nengke Technology, Wuhan Yimo Technology, Jinbaize Zhuoyun, Deloitte Management Consulting, and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., also expressed their cooperation speeches . Among them, Liu Qinghua, general manager of Wuhan Tianyu Software Co., Ltd., said: “Based on the DME platform, we developed the Part BOM module. During this process, DME provided us with very good standardized functions and saved us development costs. It also ensures the maturity and stability of our software.”

At the same time, Wan Li, a professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, said: “DME’s object-oriented modeling product design concept and metadata-driven multi-tenant architecture can efficiently support developers to create a new generation of industrial software SaaS cloud services on DME.” Nanjing Airlines Yang Shuqun, deputy dean of the Shenzhen Research Institute of the University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, believes that DME provides a new model for building SaaS chemical industry software. “I hope more companies and developers can participate in the use and verification of DME, and jointly promote the prosperity and development of domestic industrial software.” develop”.
